Strategies for Selecting a Herd Bull Webinar

Thursday, April 8, 2021, beginning at 6:30 pm.

Purdue Extension invites any beef cattle producer interested in gaining insight related to strategies for selecting a herd bull to participate in a free webinar featuring Dr. Darrh Bullock, University of Kentucky Beef Cattle Breeding, and Genetics Specialist on Thursday, April 8, 2021, beginning at 6:30 pm.  Dr. Bullock will cover considerations a producer should take into account when selecting a bull that should complement one’s cow herd, farm resources, and management.  He will also discuss why utilizing a crossbreeding program may be beneficial for some operations, plus will include how to use EPD’s in selecting the right bull for your herd.  But that’s not all…Dr. Bullock is also planning to include a bull selection exercise with program participants that allows the use of real-life scenarios to make management decisions during the program that allows for live expert feedback.  To join the webinar and/or to receive the webinar recording, pre-registration is required by Tuesday, April 6, 2021, by visiting http://bit.ly/bullselection. For questions about the webinar, contact Purdue Extension – Lawrence Co. at This email address is being protected from spambots.
