Kaitlyn Cloud Joins ASA as Events and Foundation Manager

The American Simmental Association is excited to announce the hire of Kaitlyn Cloud as Events and Foundation Manager. Cloud is originally from Carthage, Missouri, where she grew up involved in her family’s meat processing business and farm. She has been actively involved in the beef industry throughout her life, and was a member of the American Junior Simmental Association (AJSA). Cloud spent four years on the AJSA Board of Trustees, serving as President for a term.

Cloud began her collegiate education at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College before transferring to Texas A&M University, where she graduated in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications and journalism. While at Texas A&M, Cloud was a member of the 2023 Reserve National Champion Livestock Judging Team, and was involved in several agricultural organizations, including Saddle and Sirloin, Aggie Cattlewomen, and Animal Science Ambassadors. Professionally, Cloud worked as the Policy Analyst for the Springfield [Missouri] Area Chamber of Commerce, where she worked in government relations, public affairs, communications, and event planning.

In her new role as Events and Foundation Manager, Cloud will plan and execute ASA and AJSA meetings, leadership programs, and events, while supporting the administrative and fundraising efforts for the American Simmental-Simbrah Foundation.

“The Simmental breed and the people involved have played such an important role in my life, so I’m excited for the opportunity to give back to an association and industry that have given me so much,” Kaitlyn shares. “I’m looking forward to building relationships, supporting our youth, and helping create opportunities for the next generation.”
